Neva Fernandez
Director of Victim Services Division
Neva Fernandez has managed the Victim Services Division at the District Attorney’s Office since February 2021. Before that, she was the Advocacy Manager at Texas Legal Services Center, providing advocacy and support to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking in the criminal and civil justice system. Neva has also worked in the Protective Order Division of the County Attorney’s Office and as a volunteer legal advocate with The SAFE Alliance.

Also, she has served as co-chair of the Austin Travis County Sexual Assault Response and Resource Team and on Austin’s Commission for Women. She has an M.A. in Sociology from New York University and trains nationally in trauma-informed interviewing and advocacy with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault
