Efrain De La Fuente
Director of Child Abuse Unit

Efrain De La Fuente devoted his career to the service of others and began his prosecution career with the Travis County District Attorney’s Office in 1998. Efrain De La Fuente is the Director of the Child Abuse Division.  Mr. De La Fuente has served as an Assistant Director for the Special Victims Unit and Trial Division.  Mr. De La Fuente served in the Army as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG).  As a JAG officer, he advised commanders and investigators on all criminal justice matters and later served as a defense counsel defending soldiers accused of criminal offenses.  Mr. De La Fuente is a graduate of St. Mary’s University and Drake University Law School.
