Victims of crime are guaranteed certain rights and participation in the criminal justice system under Texas law. These rights include the right to complete a victim impact statement, which is a document that allows a prosecutor and judge to understand the impact that a particular crime has had on a victim and their family.  To learn more about a victim impact statement and how it is used in the criminal process, please reach out to the victim counselor assigned to your case.  To submit a victim impact statement online, click the buttons below.

If you are a crime victim or witness who needs to get in touch with TCDA about a pending criminal matter, your best point of contact is the victim counselor or assistant district attorney who is assigned to the case.
