Travis County Grand Jury Clears Officer House

Travis County, TX — Today, Travis County District Attorney José Garza announced that a Travis County Special Grand Jury concluded its review of the February 20, 2024, use-of-force incident involving former Manor ISD Police Department Officer Kristopher House and did not return an indictment against the officer on February 12, 2026.

On February 20, 2024, a juvenile sustained injuries during an incident involving former Manor ISD PD Officer House.

 “The Travis County District Attorney’s office takes the work of presenting all facts and evidence to a grand jury very seriously,” said Travis County District Attorney José Garza. “In this case, an independent group of members of the Travis County community heard the evidence and law and decided that Officer House’s conduct was not unlawful.”
