Travis County District Attorney’s Office Announces Indictments Against Mitchell Wasek
Travis County, TX —On Friday, May 17, 2024, a grand jury in the 147th Judicial District Court returned six separate indictments charging Mitchell Wasek, 28, with 21 counts of the state jail felony of Invasive Visual Recording TX PC 21.15. The charges pertain to thirteen separate victims who were alleged to have been secretly recorded by Mr. Wasek over the course of about two years in Travis County.
The investigation by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office continues.
Mr.Wasek’s case will be prosecuted in the 167th Judicial Court for Travis County.
“The Travis County District Attorney’s Office takes the work of presenting all facts and evidence to a grand jury very seriously,” said Travis County District Attorney José Garza. “In this case, a group of independent Travis County community members heard the evidence and law and decided that Mr. Wasek’s conduct was unlawful.”
