Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Conviction for Man Charged with Murder
Travis County, TX — On Thursday, January 25, 2024, Jorge Luis Alvarado Blanco, 38, pled guilty to Murder and was sentenced to 35 years to be served in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
On March 14, 2023, the Austin Police Department arrested Mr. Blanco and charged him with the murder of his wife, Minerva Molina Jimenez, 30.
On May 23, 2023, Mr. Blanco was indicted for the offense of Murder.
The case against Jorge Luis Alvarado Blanco was prepared by Assistant District Attorneys Andrea Austin and Victor Erbring, with the support of Investigator Fred Spencer, Victim Counselor Cynthia Jilote, Paralegal Holly Sonnenberg, and Legal Secretary Rebecca LaBeth. Austin Police Department Homicide Detective Katy Conner, as the lead detective,
investigated Mr. Blanco’s case.
