Travis County District Attorney’s Office Reaches Preliminary Settlement Agreement with Texas Attorney General, Releases Additional Documents

Travis County, TX — This week, the Travis County District Attorney’s Office reached a preliminary settlement agreement with the Texas Attorney General’s Office on our office’s appeal to their ruling on the release of certain security information. The agreement will result in consistent disclosure of security-related information.

“We are grateful to the Office of the Texas Attorney General for their efforts to reach a resolution of this matter,” said Travis County District Attorney José Garza. “This preliminary resolution will allow the Travis County District Attorney’s Office to be transparent about security-related matters and maintain safety in the face of threats of harm.”
