Travis County DA’s Office Secures Guilty Verdict for Man Charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Travis County, TX — On Wednesday, February 7, a Travis County jury convicted William Rolando Rivera of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Second Degree Felony. Mr. Rivera was sentenced by the jury to 7 years in the Texas Department of Corrections to be probated for three years.
The case against Mr. Cooks was tried by Assistant District Attorneys Jason Rew-Hunter and Cindy Izquierdo. Also on the team were TCDA Investigator Mike Henderson, Victim Witness Counselor Larissa Youngblood, Paralegal Raquel Sanchez, and Legal Secretary Chardell Clark. Mr. Cook’s case was investigated by Travis County Sheriff Office Detective Steven Jackley.
