Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Conviction in Collision Involving Injury Case
Travis County, TX — On Wednesday, September 9, 2025, a Travis County jury convicted Uriel Loredo-Torres, 40, of Collision Involving Injury.
On Monday, September 7, 2025, jury selection began for Mr. Loredo-Torres’s trial, and testimony started the following day. On Wednesday, September 9, 2025, the jury deliberated and found him guilty of Collision Involving Injury, but not guilty of Driving While Intoxicated Third of More offense. On the same day, all parties agreed that Mr. Loredo-Torres be sentenced to five years of probation.
On August 18, 2024, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mr. Loredo-Torres and charged him with Collision Involving Injury and Driving While Intoxicated Third or More after he rear-ended another vehicle on the 7900 block of Decker Lane and left the scene of the crash.
On April 7, 2025, a Travis County grand jury indicted Mr. Loredo-Torres for the offenses of Collision Involving Injury and Third Driving While Intoxicated offense.
Assistant District Attorneys Emily Scholten and Clayton Myers tried the case against Mr. Loredo-Torres, with the support of Investigator John Holliday, Paralegal Holly Sonnenberg, and Legal Secretary Rebecca LaBeth. Travis County Sheriff’s Office Deputy J. Cabrera led the investigation in this case.
