Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Conviction for Act of Violence

TRAVIS COUNTY – On Thursday, March 16, 2023, a Travis County jury convicted Blake Charles Washington, 57, of Manslaughter.

For Mr. Washington’s trial, jury selection started on Monday, March 13, 2023, and testimony began the same day. On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the jury deliberated and found Mr. Washington guilty of Manslaughter. On May 3, 2021, the Austin Police Department arrested Mr. Washington and charged him with the murder of Christopher Bowser Jr, 23, which took place on May 2, 2021.

On August 6, 2021, Mr. Washington was indicted for the offense of Murder.
