Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Conviction for Acts of Violence
Travis County, Tx — On Thursday, June 15, 2023, a Travis County jury convicted Daniel Enrique Carcamo, 27, of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault Family Member, Impeding Breathing or Circulation.
For Mr. Carcamo’s trial, jury selection started on Monday, June 12, 2023, and testimony began on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the jury deliberated and found Mr. Carcamo guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault Family Member, Impeding Breathing or Circulation.
On March 9, 2019, the Austin Police Department arrested Mr. Carcamo and charged him with Assault Family Member, Impeding Breathing or Circulation for the offense that took place that same day.
On May 28, 2019, Mr. Carcamo was indicted for the offenses of Assault Family Member, Impeding Breathing or Circulation, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
