Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Guilty Verdict For Man Charged with Murder

Travis County, Tx — On Thursday, June 15, 2023, a Travis County jury convicted Jeffrey Garner, 24, of Murder.

For Mr. Garner’s trial, jury selection started on Monday, June 12, 2023, and testimony began on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the jury deliberated and found Mr. Garner guilty of Murder.

On May 29, 2020, the Austin Police Department arrested Mr. Garner and charged him with the murder of James Lewis Allen, 38, which took place on May 28, 2020.

On August 6, 2020, Mr. Garner was indicted for the offense of Murder.
