Travis County District Attorney’s Office Secures Guilty Verdict For Man Charged with Murder
Travis County, TX — On Friday, April 7, 2023, a Travis County jury convicted Daniel Perry, 35, of Murder.
For Mr. Perry’s trial, jury selection started on Monday, March 27, 2023, and testimony began on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the jury began deliberating, and on Friday, April 7, 2023, found Mr. Perry guilty of Murder and not guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
On June 24, 2021, Mr. Perry was indicted for the felony offenses of Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and the misdemeanor offense of Deadly Conduct. Mr. Perry was charged with the murder of Garrett Foster, 28, and with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for intentionally and knowingly threatening Justine Nolt with imminent bodily injury by driving a motor vehicle in her direction, which both took place on July 25, 2020. The Deadly Conduct charge remains pending in the County Attorney’s Office.
