Travis County Judge Declares Hung Jury in Taylor Murder Trial
Travis County, TX — Today, in the 167th Criminal District Court, a Travis County judge declared a hung jury in the murder trial of Christopher Taylor.
For Mr. Taylor’s trial, jury selection started on Monday, October 16, 2023, and testimony began on Monday, October 23, 2023. On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the jury began deliberating but could not reach a unanimous verdict, and as a result, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, Judge Dayna Blazey declared a mistrial.
On March 10, 2021, Mr. Taylor was indicted for the murder of Michael Ramos, 42, that occurred on April 24, 2020.
“We are grateful for our community members who served in the jury for this case,” said Travis County District Attorney José Garza. “We respect the juror’s decision and thank them for their service.”
